Don’t Mess With Me director Richard Farmer felt that Dalle’s live persona had the most power in representing the lyrics of her song.
"I wanted to see her stand there and take on the world head on. She’s a strong person and if you have ever seen her live, she can’t be knocked down — she owns it up there. Statuesque, badass and beautiful, like a rock goddess should. I mean, come on, Brody covered in blood? Visual heaven."
It’s finally out…loving it already.
Proud to have worked on this with Cale Glendening/Brody Dalle and Shirley Manson. Also thanks again to the one and only Tony Bevilacqua. Animation by one of my favs: Anthony Winn…enjoy.
Music made with friends for friends. A desert re-imagining of classic song from the 80’s. Can you guess which one? Thanks for listening and please pass it along if you like it. Farmer and Tony B
